Hi, I'm Jen - your local friendly SWP supergeek!

I'm on a mission to move organisations beyond guesswork and get building real capability for the future of work.
​
I fell into SWP by accident in 2011 while working in healthcare in New Zealand. Getting under the hood of perennial HR and workforce problems, asking way more than the 5 Why's, and designing practical fixes made my geeky, puzzle-loving HR heart sing.
Since then I've helped organisations turn strategy into action, and reframe HR as a key strategic enabler - designing and embedding SWP and People Analytics functions that link people, skills and structures to measurable business delivery.

From those early wins increasing permanent junior doctor staffing and decreasing contractor costs, to securing £60 million funding through the first Strategic Workforce Plan in the Scottish Justice sector; every success has fuelled my passion.
​
I believe SWP should be practical, evidence-based, human-centred, and even a little bit joyful - because while making work better is a serious business, it needn't be a drag!
